“UN IMANT A LA NEVERA”

ABSTRACT

“ A magnet on the fridge, and a postcard, and a key ring, and a miniature of the most important monument, and a t-shirt. Objects with which an imposed link is created: having to have, remembering to remember. What would happen if, in order to prevent an agrarian area from falling into oblivion, the area had to be touristized? Rural souvenirs? Is mass tourism the solution to oblivion?

This project is a constant irony of how to prevent the “voltes”, some constructions that are part of the heritage of Albelda (a small town located in the province of Huesca), from dying in the most mistaken way possible: cosmopolitan consumerism.”
